Hummingbird Morning w/ CFBO

Susan and her team will demonstrate the process of hummingbird banding, a critical component of her research. Come see local Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and learn about trapping and handling as well as applying tiny bands and taking data. You will witness, up close, all of the important elements of this specialized scientific endeavor. Susan will share information gained to-date and answer questions about hummingbirds during the event. She will not only be talking about the activities of these birds in the wild but important aspects of providing for hummingbirds on your property.
