Join Airlie Gardens Environmental Educators for an introduction on building your own mini greenhouse with house hold items! Start seeds for your backyard and increase habitat for the monarch butterfly! Learn the plight of the monarch and how you can help!
If you want to create a greenhouse with us, you will need the following items at home:
- 1 Gallon Milk/Water Jug (translucent)
- Scissors
- Water
- Garden Soil
- Drill or Hammer and Nail (something you can poke holes with)
- Duct Tape
- Permanent Marker for labelling
Free native seeds are provided for pick up, but not required for participation.
Seeds included are milkweed and purple coneflower. Seeds must be picked up at the garden during normal business hours beginning February 6th.
This program will be hosted through Zoom. Account registration is required for access. Instructions to follow.
